Gloucestershire Safety Group (GSG) is an independent, non-profit making occupational health and safety group. It is a members organisation dedicated to promoting good health and safety practice to employers and the self-employed through specialist speaker meetings, workshops, events, information, education and networking. (We are not however a consultancy organisation though some of our members work in that capacity in their own right). The group also includes environmental matters as and when they are appropriate.

We invite a varied group of speakers to talk on topical subjects either triggered by forthcoming legislation or flagged up by members as being of particular interest. Meetings are held between October and May and the programme, published to members before the start of the meeting season, is organised by a management team. To add variety we may hold a meeting at a site of interest to study how others manage their Health, Safety and Environmental issues. These visits have included Messier Dowty, Bristol Port Company, Gloucestershire Airport, Xerox (Mitcheldean), and Hartpury College. Where we cannot arrange such a visit we will hold a special, extended event to explore a particular subject area more fully.
